There's movies that he's worked on that I enjoy but don't notice his music like "Julie & Julia" and "Fantastic Mr. Fox"(especially good!), I mean you notice them but you don't take time to admire them and maybe that's a good thing but there's also "Benjamin Button" and "Beat That My Heart Skipped" and "A Prophet" which are really just beautiful musically. The Benjamin score is nice in it's own mellow set aside sorta way but in Audiard's films, Displat's music holds this serious tone, like a reminder of how hard what's going on really is but at the same time it's very gentle and sympathetic to the character it follows. His scores really widens the image. I can't wait to hear "The Tree of Life"! Good luck Desplat
