Laura Tonke

Laura Tonke, born April 14th 1974 in Berlin. Daughter of film designer Michael Tonke, she studied theater in Berlin until 1996. Film debut “Ostkreuz” (1991), followed by prominent supporting roles in “Winterschläfer” (Wintersleepers, 1997), “Der Pirat” (1997; TV) and “Gangster” (1999). Film career really takes off with her role as Gudrun Ensslin in “Baader” (2002), followed by “Pigs Will Fly” (2003) and “Farland” (2004). Received Goldene Kamera Award for Best New Actress in 2000. Since 2003, actress in the Berliner Volksbühne. —filmportal.de
