I haven't found any of his performances "bad" in any sense of the word. Especially when he has poor material, he's always been the only one with a verité to his performance. I realize films like 2 Days In Paris are adored on this site, but I found only his performance kept the film from being overly self-loathing. And it wasn't the character -- not anyone could play a straight-faced "fairy." Between Good Bye, Lenin!, the Edukators (which wasn't too great), Love in Thoughts, 2 Days in Paris, and Inglorious Basterds, he has yet to truly fail the audience.
