Wilder made one of my favorite quotes of all time. Before he got the chance to direct his own scripts, he was known to get upset at how directors were handling the screenplays he had written. When asked "Do you expect a director to know how to write?" he responded, "No, but I do expect him to know how to read!"

Buddy Buddy recently showed up on Netflix Instant Watch. Too bad it hasn't gotten a DVD release, but this will suffice for those who have been unable to find it!
