Dazed and Confused, School Of Rock, A Scanner Darkly, Waking Life, Tape. Love this guy's films
I like Waking Life and Slacker... but I LOVE the Before Sunrise/Before Sunset films. Thats why I'm "becoming a fan", because of those two movies.
Linklater confuses me. He's made some of my all-time favorite films, films that I consider masterpieces... but he's also made a *lot* of mediocre ones; the man offers me zero consistency!
What an exceptional director. Up most respect.
Yes!! Plow is being uploaded onto this site soon! His best film, which is saying a lot, because Waking Life and Tape (as well as many others) are just so damn great. :D
Savvy
Dear Linklater,
Fuck you. I am a complete emotional mess today because of your Before Sunrise / Sunset duology.
Love,
~
JANDERSON...Suburbia was written by Eric Bogosian, it was a play first. I like the film adaptation. Nicky Katt is great!
has anyone seen suburbia? it was a mid-90s movie that i'm 99% positive linklater directed, although i don't think he wrote it. i remember it as a very flawed film about suburban adolescence, but as with all linklater's best films, the character direction was outstanding.
Stop pretending, sure it's no "waking life", but guilty pleasure or not, School of Rock is alright.
A special director who's not afraid to think (and live) outside the box!
I definitely don't hate School of Rock.
Waking Life is one of my all-time favorites. I see it at least several times a year.
Slacker is better than all of these!
