But then again, anyman that allows a situation 2 arise where ur relationship status 2 become"seprated" with kate winslet loses respect lol
Wow there's some hate up in here 4 sam Mendes, smh lol Regardless anyman that was banging kate winslet and even wifed her, gets props and respect from me..........plus I like his films 2 lol
One of the most self-conscious twerps of the movie world. Stuffed in the "strained seriousness" category without a doubt. A fool of frames and mannered humanity. Perhaps he'll one day trust his characters to move in realistic rhythms.

I have to agree with sictransit to a certain degree. Where i don't feel it's the writing that's harming Mendes, it's certain choices made in his films. The lack of emotional attachment with the characters in Road to Perdition or the slight akwardness that seems unintentional from the main actors in Away We Go. Maybe people just find Mendes' films boring. But to say he's the worst because the guy somehow is considered to be in the big boy ranks is just absurd. BTW, Shark Attack 3 = terrible awesomeness.
H. Paul Moon has clearly not seen a lot of really bad films. Shark Attack 3 anyone? Besides, since Mendes hasn't written any of the films that he has directed or produced, Moon's gripe should be more with the writers, since, as he stated, Mendes' level of talent [directorial] "far exceeds [his] own as an independent filmmaker". His directing is sound. The writers have written some great films, contemporary classics even. This guy needs to re-evaluate his film experiences. Also, where do independent filmmakers always get off berating the ones at the top? If he's going to denounce anyone it should be the guys that put out senseless mainstream shit, not directors that make sound attempts at putting together others' scripts (which are of great quality in the first place). Rant over.
There are very few directors I would bother berating, since the level of talent necessary to appear among these ranks, or to even get a film made, far exceeds my own as an independent filmmaker. But honestly, for me Mendes is literally the worst director in all of cinema history. Just stop making films, Sam.
I was just about to shout out where's the A.B. his biggest and best work, when I saw your link. A slight error occurred maybe?!...
