Claude Nuridsany and Marie Pérennou were both born in Paris and received Masters degrees in biology at the Pierre and Marie Curie University (Paris VI). They interrupted their academic career in 1969 to devote themselves to research into living phenomena. In the process, they have devised special scientific camera equipment so as to disseminate texts and images about nature in all its manifestations in a spirit that attempts to reconcile science, with poetry, aesthetic experimentation with scientific information. In1976, they received the Niepce Prize for their photographic work, which has appeared in numerous publications. —TFF
