Sergei Selyanov

Producer, director, scriptwriter, General Director of the TV chain CTB, Sergei Selyanov was born in Olonez (in Karelia) in 1955. From 1975 to 1978 he studied at the Polytechnic Institute of Toula where he was a director of Amateur Cinema Studio. In 1980 he obtained the diploma of the Faculty of Scenario at the VGIK (National Institute of Cinematography) in the class of Nikolay A. Figurovski and in 1989 the Diploma of the Higher Courses of Scriptwriting and Set-Design (class of Rolan Bykov). In 1992 he created the TV chain CTB. He produced more than forty fiction films, documents and TV series. He produced programs “Lizedei/Zheleznye Babki” (ORT, 1996), “Hundred Years of Russian Cinema” (ORT, 1996), “Linia kino” (ORT, 1996-1999). He is the founder and director of the distribution company “Nache kino”.
