Actually he said that he would film for a couple of weeks for each movie and go do other things. So no, it didn't.

This man is almost always the best part of whatever movie he is in. He could take a mediocre/terrible movie and redeem it drastically simply by being in it (or, you know, talking, but I'm trying not to be too shallow in terms of his Sex God Voice™), an asset that not a lot of actors are gifted with, yet he succeeds admirably.

You know what's awesome about Alan Rickman? He is performances are always great and entertaining even if the movie sucks. There isn't many actors you could sincerely say that about.
