Yeah, whatever.
It's interesting, because she comes across as an airhead in interviews- she seems as dumb as Paris Hilton; her voice alone...very grating, like nails on a chalkboard. But besides the fact that she talks like Paris and she lives in Paris (With that Phoenix singer guy) she also happens to have made 3 motion picture masterpieces. ( Somewhere suggests that she's run out of ideas, but that's a different story.)
I also love her. But do not think "Somewhere" bad. It has a minimalist and intimate look already are registered trademarks of the cinema of Sofia.
she is too often lazily labeled as talentless and riding the coattails of her father's success. bullshit. i fucking love sofia, she's phenomenal.
with so many overrated, overhyped and overpaid filmmakers, she is one of the great underrated auteurs still working in hollywood.
Que facinante todas tus peliculas~ que talento...claro, como tu padre Francis que es un genio. Uno de is favoritos es Virgin Suicides~ y las canciones son perras~! AWESUM!
Sofia Coppola is an intelligent and sophisticated filmmaker. As a director she crafts the most beautiful and subtle films, imbued with gorgeous photography; sublime costume design and art direction; exquiste soundtracks and engaging and well rounded characters. Her three feauture films to date ('The Virgin Suicides', 'Lost in Translation' and 'Marie Antoinette') establish her as a director of dreamlike and wistful works, which favour mood and atmosphere over plot points. The pre-eminent auteur of her generation, her fourth feature 'Somewhere' should see her explore new territory and grow as a filmmaker.
Me encanta lo q escribe Sofia, al involucrar todo con creatividad y agilidad, especialmente en "Lost in translation", puedes identificarte, sea cual sea tu perfil, wuuuuuuu, Sofia es la cagada
I actually Love "Marie Antoinette". It's my favorite of her films. Also, I want to marry Sofia Coppola.
