Despite his loyal fan community, Franco remains one the most underrated directors our time, there is so much more to his films than just sleaze and sex. His films are full of light, aesthetic, sensuality, humor and passion; he has given cinema some of the most beautiful close-ups, bizarre images and wackiest scores. It is shameful how they treat his films on DVD (often cut with terrible English dubs) He is a true master director, as well as a talented actor and musician. I hope he will get the recognition he truly deserves and that he lives to make another 200 movies.
