Zaida Bergroth

Zaida Bergroth studied directing at the University of Art and Design Helsinki’s School of Motion Picture, Television and Production Design. She directed the award-winning short films Glass Jaw (2004) and Heavy Metal (2006). Her first feature Last Cowboy Standing (2009) won the Flash Forward Award at the Pusan Film Festival in 2009, as well as the Finnish Jussi Awards for Best Screenplay and Best Sound Design. Her second feature The Good Son premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2011.
