She doesn't act, she smiles. Just watched "we bought a zoo", and all she fucking does in that movie is smile. And laugh awkwardly. And that goes for "Benjamin Button" , "somewhere" and "super 8" too. Granted, she smiles better than most- and you all swoon when she does. I get it, she's adorable when she breaks out that smile but that smile is the only weapon she's got in her acting bag. (she could never have pulled off the nuanced performances that Dakota pulled off in "I am Sam", "Man on Fire", "Hide and Seek", "The Runaways".

It's true that Dakota's gone down an unfortunate path with the Twillight franchise, hopefully she'll come around now that her bank account is satisfied.

Excuse me?! According to you all she does in in Super 8 is SMILING? Either you're blind or you really need to rewatch the movie, just to enjoy how deep and truthful is Elle's performance.? Your argument about WBAZ may stand but the only reason why it does it's 'cause Lily (her character in the movie) was like that. Think before you speak, please and thank you.

She acts in far better movies than Dakota. I'm really excited to see how this beautiful girl shall evolve in the next few years.

Fan of Fanning.I find her beauty to be moving. I love her smile and her not-yet-fully-matured baby teeth. I hope she does not fix her teeth. She's so cute and damn she is oh-so fotogenic. Love her. Hope she does some european film one of these days...
