Born in Tokyo in 1978. He graduated from Nihon University Department of Art. He majored in film and shot many of 8mm films while in the University.
His first 16mm film AMARGASM, which was inspired by Hans Bellmer’s IMAGE ANATOMY received a jury prize at Nagaoka Independent film festival in 2001. The film was also screened at Image Forum.
The same year, Takashi visits London and was taught about film expression by Brothers Quay. At the Quay’s studio, he deeply learned about lighting and film music.
He has been eagerly making independent films after returning home from London, and his film pieces have been exhibited at livespaces and galleries since 2004.
The screening his film regularly in Shibuya UPLINK FACTORY from August, 2006.
In October, he screened new film No is E (music by Jim O’Rourke).
