Why isn't there a thing on MUBI that you can push that says "become a big fan"?. Her work on Dexter is a thing of beauty. But since MUBI is about movies...looking at her filmography...it's pretty underwhelming. She got a good start with The Exorcism of Emily Rose, which wasn't a very good film by any means, a strange mix of an exorcist movie and a court room drama. But her performance in it is extraordinary. Quarantine was an unneccessary remake, but again, I loved what she did in it. Seeking Justice, horrible Nicolas Cage film, why would she go near that? unless somebody had something incriminating on her and blackmailed her into doing it. I haven't seen Gone, but it was savagely lambasted by critics-it currenty holds 12% on rotten tomatoes. She has just filmed a movie for Christian E. Christiansen, a terrible Danish director. The movie's called the Occult...Doesn't sound good, does it? Does she only have time to make crap films in between filming Dexter? Is that what it is? If so, I'm kinda glad Dexter is ending after the next season. I enjoy the show, I'll miss it when it ends, but if her not having to be on Dexter anymore means she'll get more and better film offers, then that's a very good thing.
