Despite being privilege and all that jazz, she's good at what she does. Her series GIRLS is really inspiring, fresh and represents the quirks of living, loving and striving in the city.
What if her works of art and social media presence are really just satire and she's trolling us all?
I haven't seen Tiny Furniture and I have no real desire to do so ( The only good thing that has come out of the mumblecore movement is Greata Gerwig.) But GIRLS is fantastic, brilliant- did I mention brilliant? stuff. I say get Lena Dunham a bigger budget and a decent sound crew and let her make another film.
Perhaps it's not mumblecore in the strictest sense but from I can tell, the film still has many of that genre's annoying traits. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I should see it sometime.
