Biography

Robby Mueller was born on April 4th 1940 in Villemstad, Curacao, on the Dutch Antilles. He studies on the Filmacademy in Holland from 1962 to 1964 and started to work as a director of photography soon afterwards.

Mueller has been working with Wim Wenders since 1969 when they made the short “Alabama: 2000 Light Years”. Robby Mueller received the Bundesfilmpreis for “Wrong Move”.

He has also worked with many other renowned directors on international productions, most notably “Breaking the Waves”, “To live and die in L.A.”, and several Jim Jarmusch movies including “Ghost Dog”.
