In I stand alone, Noe understands the character and makes the audience (only some of them, the smart ones) to also understand that, tell me one director who have done this in the last 30 years. Please.
not a huge fan, but he makes guys like Aronofsky look about as inventive as Ron Howard.

He's no revolutionary. Any 30-some man in the world could sit down for 10 minutes and come up with some messed-up movie plot filled with rape, gore, incest, and violence of the most disturbing and sexual nature if he really wanted to. This guy's just one of a growing number that actually put it on film. The ability to scare and disturb does not equal creative talent.

Not a terrific storyteller, but easily one of the greatest cinematographers of all time. Kindof a weirdo, but still.
