I had the opportunity to see the one-and-only Pedro Almodovar tonight at USC. As expected, he was charming and insightful, playful and open. He has inspired me to continue to watch great cinema (Bergman, Antonioni, Hitchcock) and to seek out my own way of making movies. He confessed that he's working on an English Language film as well as a new comedy: he intends to do both. Here's to more Almodovar cinema. Viva Pedro!
One of few directors, I feel, to portray unwielding desire and passion on screen. The style of "Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown" would be an accurate one to depict of my feelings of eagerness and heartbreak.
I'm imagine during Lubitsch or Bunuel's psychological movie that ... what if....? charactor's intend is....... it's my approach about Almodovar.
