Magically aged into adulthood, Princess Camélia traverses a phantasmagoric landscape of enchanted beings, goblins, and ghouls. On her journey through this surreal world, she confronts a series of frightful encounters and the perils of patriarchy awaiting her in womanhood.

Known for her mixed-media artworks and monumental sculptures, artist-filmmaker Niki de Saint Phalle makes the dreamscape of her second film vividly material. Colorful fiberglass forms, fire-breathing dragons, and plaster-of-paris phalluses populate this surrealist tale of innocence and experience.
