Hey David, the pages are going up for the 2011 films as soon as they're announced and we obtain proper stills, crew and synopsis. It's the best we can do until the full line-up appears on the Berlinale website. Keep checking back!
would be great if Mubi could update this page as new titles are announced... it's an invaluable resource when trying to decide whether or not to make the trip.
I Havent heard any films from the Philippines this year as of the last years. NETPAC are for Asian films!
Berlinale Halftime and I'm pretty happy with the films I saw so far. I especially liked Vuelco de Cangrejos (which does indeed carry a strong message) and If I Want to Whistle I Whistle. Also attended Mexican omnibus film "Revolución" which is strong almost in every one of its short films.
just google, berlinale2010. tons of ways to go, they are the most wonderful, generous film community. it kind of feels like Sundance used to feel, like a place where people who love films go, only urban, but similar spirit. where people beg for financing, where you can see a film that is almost finished but needs post $ and where talent springs from everywhere, a coffee house, a hotel, a mall, and checkpoint charlie!
Right on Rica, although personally I thought that Jonny Greenwood's win for the score for There Will Be Blood and Sally Hawkins' Best Actress win for Happy-Go-Lucky were very deserving.
I'm surprised, but except for the Hong Sang-soo film, all the best movies I have seen here have been out of competition!
