My absolute favorite film festival: San Francisco Silent Film Festival (July 14-July 17 this year). They've got Marlene Dietrich, Lon Chaney, Douglas Fairbanks, John Ford, Yasujiro Ozu, and Mikhail Kalatozov. What more could anyone ask for, really?
The Portugese nun was fabulous. I wish we could see more films from the SFIFF.

@DE FAUX It's already a win when you get to see The Music Room and Senso on a really really big screen.
It's too bad I wasn't able to stay in San Francisco longer (I went last weekend). I'd love to see several of these films.
