ANYTHING ELSE is a bit like a re-imagining of ANNIE HALL in that it chronicles the kindling and the demise of a relationship as told by a fourth-wall smashing protagonist (Jason Biggs). Woody Allen’s character in the film is even more insane than usual, it’s fun to see Woody attack a burly New Yorker’s car and try to teach Jason Biggs how take a gun apart and put it back together in the dark. It’s a pretty funny movie and another underrated entry in his canon, it took Quentin Tarantino to declare it one of his favorite movies of the last 17 years for people to stop and look back at it.
