Wow what a piece of shit - nothing but a moronic star vehicle for the pretty but bland Efron (whose stiff attempts at acting like the "goofy", oh-so-hetero everyman are eerily Tom Cruise-esque). Its an confused film that seems to have no idea which audience to pander to, flicking from retarded slapstick for toddlers to "magical" CGI water portals to frat boy jokes to braindead "family value" sappiness. Lame as hell!

The film loses its touch with the fantasy elements (=young again, back in high school) very quickly and turns into a predictable, insipid morality play.

I wouldn't say creative. Dozens of body-swapping movies were erected in the 1970's and 1980's. "Dream a Little Dream," "Freaky Friday," and "Vice Versa" to name a few.
