I was 13 when i was first watched this. It moved me and inspired me to study film.
an unique bizarre love story... powerful! feel the beauty of silent :) loving it!
This is one of the best movies I've seen in a while. It's a film full of mysterious and quiet power, slowly luring the audience in with what appears to be little. Usually I'm only able to appreciate minimalism from an artistic standpoint, but the way this film is presented, it struck me emotionally as well. I will admit I was more of a fan of the first half than the second, but overall it was an experience.
Nunca assisti a um filme em que o silêncio falasse tanto por si só. Surreal a forma como os personagens se comunicam... preenchendo seus vazios com a simples presença um do outro. Das coisas mais belas que já vi na vida. Trabalho mágico do Kim Ki-Duk.
The power of this film to insinuate and captivate its audience in mystery and eroticism is probably only second to how weightless and haunting the whole affair feels, like the lovers standing on the scale at the end. Love is when you really don't have to say anything to your significant other. As a result, 3 Iron is surreal and silent epiphany, and also might even be Kim Ki Duk's best film. And that's saying a lot.
A modern fairy tale with its dark streak and a supernatural twist? It lends itself well to a philosophical discussion.
i love how this film is so quiet, with that the sadness is keenly felt. also really interesting as well! i would love to go into people's houses and clean whilst listening to music.
A very interesting film. Quite a role for the lead actor who doesn't say a single word. Its suspenseful at times and really has a hold of your attention because you think that something will happen at any moment.
If viewed properly, this movie can become a life changing experience. Beautiful!
Never have I ever gets annoyed by silent people, after seeing this. But yeah, quarter to the end was quite good.
Holy shit this is a horrible film. Did he have to pay WKW royalties for ripping off Chungking Express? That's not my problem with the film, though- it's the facile, wish-fulfillment day dream fluff completely divorced from any socio-cultural context that I could ascertain. That's just my bias, though- I need my films strongly grounded in reality.
