The bar/ seduction scene near the beginning of the film is a masterpiece with in itself. The mood, the acting (talk about chemistry), setting and ultimately the graceful movements of the camera are exsecuted masterfully. I haven’t seen many films staring Glen Ford but if there is any other film where his performance is better than the one in this film please point me to it cause as of right now I can’t imagine him doing better- he’s just that great.

I can’t think of many films that have given me a warm feeling… that feeling which with in the first half of the film that it’s already going to be something special. The second half did not disappoint. The psychological battle between Glen Ford and Van Heflin in that hotel is just as great as the bar scene earlier.
