Beautiful, interesting, incredible cinema.

Synopsis

The story of Oakland Athletics general manager Billy Beane and his successful attempt to assemble a contending baseball club on a shoestring budget by employing a savvy computer enabled analysis to draft players.

Our take

Winner of the prestigious Louis Delluc Prize for Best First Film, this little-seen nonfiction film is a naturalistic, semi-autobiographical and above all, sincere work of docufiction from a new talent of the genre. A coming-of-age story set in the French countryside, pleasing and gorgeous to watch.
