A Cry in the Wild

When a pilot suffers a heart attack, his plane plummets into the wilderness. The only survivor is a 12-year-old boy named Brian (Jared Rushton), who learns to grow up fast as he fends for himself while living among wolves, bears and other threats. Based on the popular children’s book &NFi;Hatchet&NFi_; by Gary Paulsen (who co-wrote the screenplay), the film earned a Gold Medal from the National Wildlife Association.
