A Moon for the Misbegotten

This production of Eugene O’Neill’s semiautobiographical drama stars Jason Robards as a cynical alcoholic who, during an all-night conversation filled with remorse, confession and absolution, forges a tenuous connection with his tenant’s daughter (Colleen Dewhurst). Both Dewhurst and Ed Flanders, who plays her father, won Tony Awards for their performances in the Broadway staging; director José Quintero also received a Tony.
