A wonderful plot, somewhat dark, but tries to shed light on the nature of criminals and how society deals with them.

Chilling. While both killings are presented objectively, they are revealed for what they really are- cold, dehumanising, and brutal.

Masterpiece is an oft over used word, but this film can be described in no other way.

Delicate, almost hand-crafted lighting and cinematography. So gorgeous to see, though dark to comprehend.

The weakest chapter of the Decalogue series becomes the second weakest feature film in Kieslowski's filmography. Maybe I'm a cold-hearted asshole but I wasn't moved a bit!

Absolutely amazing movie that actually made me think about the death penalty for days and days until I came to the conclusion that it was inhumane. This movie really made me think and I love it. Idziak is a genius.
