Synopsis

In this filmed staging of a classic musical Czech sex farce, Uli (Petr Stach) and Vanilla (Dasa Zazvurkova) are on the verge of divorce when news of an inheritance sends them hurtling back together in a mutually cynical effort to get their hands on the dough. Acclaimed director Milos Forman directs this light jazz opera with comic and sociopolitical overtones, filmed directly from his own staging of the musical adapted with the aid of his sons.
