Cheang Soi’s Accident is a very smart thriller, not in the typical Hong Kong triad style. Brain (Louis Koo) is a so called “accident choreographer”, another type of a professional killer. One day he has to face a big conspiracy against him.

Some sappy moments (sun eclipse) are a little bit too much and the film could have been longer. The thriller would have given enough input for two hours at least. (Attention SPOILER!). Brain’s paranoia is a little bit too obvious from the beginning and reminds a little bit of Memento. Though, a great movie and the 90 minutes are defnitely worth to be watched.

I chose this movie mostly as a big Johnnie To fan, ans also as a producer he always represents a certain quality.
