When she was growing up, Alicia Anderson’s (Dominique Swain) gambler father (Michael Madsen) taught her the ins and outs of Texas Hold ‘Em. Now a driven young med student, Alicia deals with her stress and spiraling financial pressures the only way she knows how: at the card table. Gathering a group of fellow students, she sets out to win big at a nearby casino. But first, she’ll have to whip her team into shape if they hope to take on the pros.
