I primarily make animated video works, incorporating photography, drawing and cut-out collage. My work explores the variety, eclectic nature and strangeness underlying everyday things and actions. The main theme of my work lies in provoking a wide range of understandings behind existing facts, thoughts, materials and meanings. My recent work Allegory of Mrs. Triangle is an animated portrait of an imaginary character, Mrs. Triangle. The video is concerned with the complexity of one persona and the different aspects of personality. This is done with an abstract storyline, encouraging the audience to evoke new possibilities of understanding the work in their distinctive way. –Noriko Okaku, Alpha-ville

I don't know what the fuck happened, but I liked it nonetheless. I love surrealism, and this captures the uninterrupted subconscious at work (or lack thereof). The soundtrack is as chaotic as the flashing and ever-changing images. If you are a fan of surrealism, or dadaism, you will like this. Now whether or not you want to run through multiple viewings to find meaning, is a different question.
