Boe’s slightly more playful and infinitely less successful followup to his excellent Reconstruction. Somehow, while the first twenty minutes gives us an incredible start, the whole emotional bottom just drops out and we’re left with a “hey, look at me, I’m interesting, I promise” film. The Zone bit had promise, but ultimately, it’s a promise unfulfilled. Still intriguing for Boe’s visual flair (and he can show you plenty of that), but not a movie I’d watch again. Too bad, because Reconstruction was so good.
