Liza is a young Russian immigrant married with Vitor, a Portuguese scammer. Mauro, their son, is a strange child that decided not to speak anymore. Despite of all her chores, Liza also has to take care of Vitor’s grandmother, an old lady that refuses to accept her attention. One day, Fernanda, Vitor’s Galician ex-wife, shows up with a business idea: to make fake passports for the huge amount of illegal immigrants that want to enter Europe. And Liza’s house becomes the meeting place of several immigrants from different nationalities. Amongst them is Andrei, a young Ukrainian orthopedist wanted by the Russian Mafia. He ends up falling in love with Liza, that sees in him an opportunity to get out of there. –São Paulo International Film Festival
