Not the best film ever made, but Bruce makes it up by creating one of the greatest film "heros" ever,
A good addition to the trilogy, more comedy than genuine scares, i prefer the ending in the department store out of the two that were shot
Very funny ending to a legendary trilogy but it lacks the grand-guignole aspects of the first two. Least favorite of the bunch but still quite entertaining. Fantastic lines from Campbell.
its funny, if this would have been made by itself as a horror comedy it would have worked terrificaly, the fact that its the third in a hard core horror series makes me give it a fail.
I think this is the worst of the lot and raimi didnt ententionaly decide to do a horror comedy, it was just so bad it comes off as campy and he tried to save his career by acting like it was a horror comedy lol.
"Alright you Primitive Screwheads, listen up! You see this? This... is my boomstick! The twelve-gauge double-barreled Remington. S-Mart's top of the line. You can find this in the sporting goods department. That's right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Retails for about a hundred and nine, ninety five. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel, and a hair trigger. That's right. Shop smart. Shop S-Mart. You got that?"
I love the film but it really is too silly for words, and is probably the film that least fits into the Zombie theme (along with Versus) that I've watched this month. There's not a single horror moment and this is an out and out comedy from start to finish. I'm still curious as to why Raimi made the beginnings of the films in the trilogy so different from the end of the previous film... Still makes me laugh though!
cant be objective about this one cause i saw it as a teen and could not stop watching it over and over. it is packed with stuff and full of lovely homages and references to a thousand cool things. it is not as efficient as its predecessor or as charming and simple as its ancestor but ... its a third part! what did you expect?! (jedi wasn't that good either, return of the king is unbearably long and fractured ... )
Slows down at the end for the epic Harryhausen battle scenes but certainly a hilarious classic by any measure. See all the versions at least once.
