Art Inconsequence

The documentary shows avant-gardist tendencies in contemporary graffiti. Works, mostly workgroups, whose main feature is to go far removed or beyond overcome traditions of their genre in terms of aesthetics, content and ideals. It is graffiti that tries to escape its subculture’s boredom and stagnation. In a graffiti work, one can read different meanings, for example, a comment on self-destruction: on one hand side the legal sanctions and degradation imposed upon the artist by society; on the other, maybe a willful damage and deconstruction of his own artistic identity. —mostra.org
