The Aardman / Sony Imageworks collaboration Arthur Christmas reveals the incredible, never-before seen answer to every child’s question: ‘So how does Santa deliver all those presents in one night?’ The answer: Santa’s exhilarating, ultra-high-tech operation hidden beneath the North Pole. But at the center of the film is a story about a family in a state of comic dysfunction and an unlikely hero, Arthur, with an urgent mission that must be completed before Christmas morning dawns. —IMDb
I think the elves were mostly just an attempt to be the next Minions from Despicable Me, only not as funny or memorable.
Somewhat weak compared to other Aardman animation movies but still more satisfying than most of the animated (3-D) drivle being released as of late. Film bound to be annual viewing in many households in years to come. One just wishes that the lead character had been more compelling or better voiced cast as poor McAvoy is easily overshadowed here by Broadbent, Laurie and Nighy. Not bad just nothing special.
