Gopal (Rajendra Kumar) finishes his medical studies and celebrates on a ski holiday in Kashmir, where he falls for gorgeous Usha (Sadhana Shivdasani). He pledges to marry her, but on the trip home, Gopal loses his leg in a car wreck and fears that Usha will no longer love him. Meanwhile, back in Delhi, Gopal’s troubles multiply when he learns that plans are underway for Usha to marry his best friend (Feroz Khan) in this Bollywood romance.
