Stanwyck is so sexy with her curly hair and chipmunk mouth… umm….

This movie is more Wilder than it is Hawks. You really can’t feel the Hawks presence and all the secondary characters feel really Wilder-y. They have accents and are stereotypes until the end (not in a bad way, but in a good funny way.)

Gary Cooper and Stanwyck are one of my favourite actor-pairings in movies. She’s short, he’s tall. She talks too much, he doesn’t say enough.
