Synopsis

In January 1943 German army, afraid of Allied invasion of Balkans, launched great offensive against Yugoslav Partisans in Western Bosnia. The only way out for Partisan forces and thousands of refugees was the bridge on the river Neretva. —IMDb.

Veljko Bulajić (born 22 March 1928 in Vilusi, Nikšić, Kingdom of Yugoslavia), today (Montenegro) is a Croatian film director and actor of Montenegrin descent, most of his life working in Croatia.
