In this kinky thriller punctuated by offbeat humor, ditzy Petula (Rachel Weisz) and cheeky Dorothy (Susan Lynch) find themselves with a pesky corpse on their hands after Dorothy saves Petula by conking her abusive beau on the head with a scaffolding pipe. Instead of dumping the body, however, the women cook up a kidnapping story to bilk the victim’s brother for ransom. But a corrupt cop who’s out to line his pockets puts a kink in the duo’s plan.
Rachel Weisz is lovely, but even her can't save this ridiculously feminist mess - although she helps making it watchable. The tone is all over the place and the comedy (?) bits just aren't that funny...
Another lovely scottish thriller! I start to think that there are only good scottish films (wich can not be true).
