Synopsis

Adam and Barbara are a normal couple, who happen to be dead. They have given their precious time to decorate the house and make it their own, but unfortunately a family are moving in, and not quietly. Adam and Barbara try to scare them out, but ends up becoming the main attraction to the money making family. They call upon Beetlejuice to help, but Beetlejuice has more in more in mind than the just helping. —IMDb

Timothy Walter “Tim” Burton (born August 25, 1958) is a Golden Globe Award-winning American film director, producer, writer and artist. He is famed for his dark and quirky films, such as Edward Scissorhands and The Nightmare Before Christmas, which he co-wrote and produced. He is also famous for directing blockbusters including Batman and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Since directing his first feature film Pee-wee’s Big Adventure in 1985, he has gone on to direct and produce numerous films, many of which have received Academy Award nominations and wins. He frequently works with close friend Johnny Depp, musician Danny Elfman and partner Helena Bonham Carter. Aesthetically and conceptually strong, and so unusual in both regards for 1988 that it attained minor classic status on those strengths alone. But as a narrative, it's a bit wobbly, with a hazily defined set of conflicts, rules, and motivations that put a damper on the set-design.

Well, the set-pieces are cool. It's interesting, to say the least. Didn't do much for me though.
