Birdemic depicts a small town in the San Francisco Bay Area which is, suddenly and for unexplained reasons, the subject of a series of widespread and violent bird attacks over the course of a few days. The townsfolk must fight off the attacks. —Wikipedia
The best terrible pacing of any film I've seen. It takes a hilariously long time to get anything done and I love it. The bird part is stupid without question.
Yes, it's among the worst film I've ever seen but I think Nguyen tried a bit too hard to make it crappy, thus taking the easy way to fame and "so crappy, it's good"-heaven. Does it matter whether it was intentional or not? For me the crap-genre is based on the idea that the director believed that the movie would work in its context. Birdemic is just too forced and calculated.
Yes, Nguyen could of course be a version Wiseau or Ed Wood but the result is so... over-bad that I can't believe he's actually made it not knowing of its crappiness. Anyone can do bad writing, acting, editing, f-x, etc, as in Birdemic. The Room on the other hand... only a "genius".
so fuckin funny. although painful to listen to if you've been in sound production before
