This entertaining movie is a very strange hybrid of romantic comedy and crime drama. Nicole Kidman is exotic and feisty as the Russian mail-order bride who comes over to England to join Ben Chaplin's bank clerk. The romantic comedy angle seems to be progressing nicely until her two 'cousins' arrive on her birthday and the film changes awkwardly into drama as Kidman's secret is revealed. Nicely played by a fine cast..
