An ordinary British family and their Japanese friend are accused of murder when a stranger dies at their dinner table. Black Pond is an existential comedy drama starring two-time BAFTA winner Chris Langham and double British Comedy Award Winner Simon Amstell. –IMDb
Fantasia '12 A good calling card for Kingsley and Sharpe which one hopes will lead to interesting work. This one is basically a great idea spread over too long a runtime. A mock documentary tracing a family's looking back on their being accused of murder. The family seems so genuine especially the performances of the parents (Chris Langham and Amanda Hadinque) which one can readily identify with. Fun but overbaked.
The Artist leads. Conspicuous in their total absence: Melancholia and The Tree of Life.
