The comment below really isn't fair to this film, at all. It has its flaws, mainly that its most important dramatic moment isn't sufficiently motivated, but it's mean and lean, has a very distinctive opening sequence, and has quite a few great scenes. Quality noir.
Pretty rare noir by Hugo Fregonese, a director nobody ever speaks of. Nothing really special about this one with the exception of a few scenes in the electric chair room. A movie zone hardcore Noir fans. Only.
