Wow, this movie was a surprise. I had never heard of the film or the book but came across it on Netflix. It started off as an ordinary suspenseful film with a mysterious outbreak of blindness and then turned into something monstrous. Almost hard to watch. Julianne Moore, Danny Glover, Alice Braga, Mark Ruffalo, etc. do not disappoint. The cinematography is consistently well done and many parts artistically poetic. I recommend this film.
