Subtle, wry, understated, low-key, insert appropriate synonym here. Whatever, this was a wonderful little film. I do have to say that while watching it I felt this unbearable tension and thought the filmmaker was going to blow it and reveal that one of the characters to be some psycho killer (thanks for fucking me up, American Cinema), but thankfully didn't.
